The fact that if you jab a HARPOON with several orders of magnitude more testosterone than you would produce endogenously—naturally — creates the potential for you to look like a cartoonishly gigantic behemoth of a man creates this STUPID perception that testosterone levels are the end-all-be-all of muscle building.
Throw on top of that the THRIVING TRT businesses preying on the insecurities of the modern middle-aged man— which already has his whole identity under assault by borderline lunatic activists that ridicule and dismiss the role that men play in society— but now even his manhood at an endocrine level is not gonna cut it.
FUCK THAT!
Yes, testosterone plays an important role in building and maintaining muscle mass, but your overall health is what really will determine your ability to build muscle over time— your entire hormone profile, sleep quality, metabolic health, EVERYTHING plays a part— relegating the entire responsibility to testosterone is dumb— and not only that, the idea that a decline in testosterone levels as we age is just something that inevitably happens IS WRONG— testosterone declines as we age due to declining OVERALL HEALTH, and overall health declines as we age due to POOR MAINTENANCE.
You sit all day long in a boring stressful nightmare of a job, eat in a permanent caloric surplus and exclusively highly processed garbage to cope with anxiety, never exercise, and take every single pill you can encounter to overclock your brain and get you through your day, and you need to get drunk and/or high every night in order to go to sleep— WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU EXPECTED!? That you would age gracefully and keep your vitality forever!?
Devolving into a frail mess is a consequence of lifestyle choices— and with all the information on how to optimize your health, vitality, and longevity readily available FOR FREE, it's really a shame not to do something about it.
As it relates to the domains of MUSCLE BUILDING— you might think that I'm bullshitting you— 'cause you'll go there, train your ass off for a couple of years, and still feel like you're going nowhere, and the temptation of getting that chemical enhancement will feel EXTRA real.
But you know who else thinks that their efforts in the gym aren't enough? That their results suck, and they should find something to make things go faster?
18yo dudes with a once-in-a-lifetime hormone profile.
It's not a question of rate of progress— but a question of expectations, we're all desensitized to the natural world, we simply can't endure how long it takes for results to come 'cause our brains are always working at an unnatural hyperstimulated pace due to the infinite news cycle and an overabundance of noise.
You've gotta put blinders on, and just do the work— yeah, you're not a pup anymore, and a sensible approach will be required— you shouldn't be bashing your head against the wall trying to go to failure and beyond at every single set of every single exercise like a 20yo could, but with a well-designed program and a SOLID strategic effort— you can build AN AWESOME foundation of muscle that will not only allow you to look great at any age but also support optimal aging.

BANG IRON, MY BRUDDAH!
Im not young and im gaining strength and burning fat, 1.5 years ago i was at a test level low enough for my doc to be concerned that it was a danger to other things.
I have raised it off of eating healthy and training more/better.That being said i am still VERY low and may end up on some LOW dose TRT but not for a bit. The natural side of ashwaganda, fidogia, and tongkat-ali have all been very helpfull.
Sometimes it is needed and other times some part of your hormonal panel just shits the ned for no reason. Either way the body wants to be fit and functional and will heal itself to the nest of its ability if we give it the opportunity.
