How about ALL OF THEM?
Pullups might be the only exercise that gives SQUATS a run for his money.
There's a reason why the vast majority of Fitness Tests for whatever position that requires the slightest hint of physical prowess has some sort of pull-up variation in its design— if you can AT LEAST handle your own body using just the strength of your back and arms, you're NOT USELESS when it comes to physical situations, you're either STRONG or at least not out of shape.
Pull-ups are FOUNDATIONAL, instrumental, a basic capability that every single individual looking to become or stay fit should pay a lot of attention to and use broadly to build functional strength, great aesthetics, and most importantly, HEALTH.
It decompresses both the spine and the shoulder capsule helping you to stay injury free on the long run, it actively works upon extremely neglected muscles that generate imbalances that fuck people up in the long run, like the teres muscles, rear delts, fuck, if you get strong enough and you pull yourself all the way up until the bar is below your sternum, even the rotator cuff will be receiving a gnarly stimulus.
That is absolutely great for everybody, but for us lifters, it's EXTRA IMPORTANT, 'cause all that power we build on our pressing muscles with bench presses, overhead presses, they need a counterbalance, otherwise you're 1 shoulder injury away from becoming as weak as a day 1 beginner, not to mention the extreme demands we impose on our spinal erectors with squats, deadlifts, and shit, that would benefit tremendously if we gave all the structure around them a powerful supporting cast to rely upon.
I've made a more technical breakdown of the benefits and usages of pull-ups in this video below, if you're interested take a look:
